Rooftop bars of Ho Chi Minh City

Rex Hotel Saigon

Head to one of these rooftop bars in the buzzing Ho Chi Minh City.

With Ho Chi Minh City’s growing nightlife, brings with it an array of rooftop bars to enjoy drinking at a height. Scattered all over the city you could hop from one to the next. We have selected a handful for you to consider on your next night out in the city.

1. Sohy.

Situated in District 1 is the latest addition to the city’s buzzing nightlife: Sohy. Designed by a Japanese architect this is the place to take someone if you want to impress. Consisting of a champagne garden, sky bar and dining gallery, there is something to suit whatever mood you are in. Pull up a stool at the bar to watch the mixologists at work or enjoy an intimate romantic meal in this sophisticated setting.

2. Rex Rooftop Garden.

On the fifth floor of Rex Hotel Saigon is the Rex Rooftop Garden. Whilst this popular drinking spot does not give an advantage point down onto other buildings like most rooftop bars, instead it allows you to soak in the surrounding French colonial buildings that the city is rich in. This includes the People’s Committee Hall and Saigon Opera Hotel. For dancer lovers this is the ideal place to be based as salsa performances and Latino bands perform here every evening.

3. Glow SkyBar Saigon.

If you are looking for somewhere to party as well as take in the view then head to Glow SkyBar Saigon in District 1. Open until 3 am in at the weekends, this is a rooftop bar and club rolled into one. The DJ plays house music and the decor is kitted out with a beach vibe. Get here early if you want to get a seat but as night falls you will see the place truly come alive with spectacle of performances and light shows.

4. EON Heli Bar.

If rooftop drinking is all about drinking at a height then head to the 52nd floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower. It claims to be double the height of any other rooftop bar in Ho Chi Minh City meaning that the 360 degree view is incredible. Bar seats are cleverly positioned at the window’s edge to allow you to really take it all in, but if this feels too daunting opt for one of the comfy sofas instead.
