Serviced apartments are a resounding success

The rise of serviced apartments is a result of the economy and the convenience they offer.

The number of serviced apartments are increasing. A consequence of the strength of the economy which is meaning more and more investors are looking to Vietnam. Therefore the number of business travellers is on the up with many opt to stay in serviced apartments during their stay. Simultaneously tourism is growing rapidly bringing with it more visitors that need accommodation.

Already some of the big serviced apartments brands are emerging. Citadines has made an entrance onto the scene in Nha Trang. Upmarket hotel chain InterContinental has opened its doors with high end residences in Ho Chi Minh City and Oakwood have boutique style studio, one and two bedroom services apartments in the same city.

But why are serviced apartments a success?

1. Location.

Serviced apartments purposefully pick the best locations in the city. Just like a hotel they want to offer their guests ease of being in vicinity to the main attractions with the ability to get around. Those using serviced apartments are here for business or pleasure and so they want to spend minimal commuting time and so location is a priority.

2. Amenities.

Some serviced apartments are attached to a hotel so the residents can benefit from their use. Even if they are standalone they come with amenities such as restaurants, swimming pool and fitness centre. Some have even more facilities such as lounge areas, gardens, children’s playroom, Jacuzzi, and fully equipped meetings rooms catering for business travellers.

3. Flexible terms.

Fitting perfectly between hotels and condominiums, serviced residences are ideal for guests wanting to stay longer than one day but who are unable to commit to a year long tenancy. They are also idea for those new to a city as they boast convenience in a homelike stay manner. Providing flexible terms, it helps the transition for new residents whilst they find their feet and look for permanent accommodation. Business travellers also prefer serviced apartments as they can unpack and head out of the city for the weekend without the need of checking out like they would in a hotel.

4. Space.

Serviced apartments benefit from hotel like amenities but with the comfort of privacy feeling like your own home. Often they come with a small kitchen meaning that you have somewhere to make a meal or enjoy a takeaway if you don’t want to head out to eat. Some have a choice of unit sizes and styles to suit your exact needs. From studios, one, two or three bedrooms apartments, a range not always possible with a hotel.
