The Global City is one of the most ambitious real estate projects in all of Vietnam. The massive township is located in the Ho Chi Minh City suburb of Thu Duc city with Masterise Homes having taken over the project in January. They tabbed Foster + Partners to be the development’s architectural advisors.
As part of the partnership, Foster + Partners will provide innovative and sustainable design solutions to help The Global City live up to its name. This is the first time the firm has worked on a township in Vietnam. However, it brings a wealth of experience to the project.
“We are delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s most recognized names in architecture and design to realize our vision for The Global City,” Youssef Akila, Head of Design Masterise Homes, explained in a press release. “There is a natural synergy with Foster + Partners, whose ongoing commitment towards sustainability and green projects is aligned with our commitment to creating an iconic development with worldwide recognition, contributing to the community and promoting society sustainability. The Global City will be another milestone in our journey of bringing world-class excellence to Vietnam.”
The Global City will contain high-rise condominiums; low-rise apartments; villas; social housing, schools; medical and administration facilities; and a massive shopping mall. Space has also been set aside for a downtown city which will support these elements.
