CBRE is responding to tourism growth

Vietnam’s growing tourism sector is already making marks within the property world.

In a response to Vietnam’s growing tourist industry, real estate firm CBRE have announced the launching of a hotels division. Catering exclusively to the hospitality sector, the department will conduct market research, consulting, valuation and capital markets services.

Over the years CBRE have had increasing demand from hotel investors, developers and financiers. The opening of this department is perfectly timed as Vietnam is receiving more global interest than ever before. More flights operating into the country have been announced and developers are eyeing up sites for tourism potential.

The local government have put incentives in place for the hospitality sector. This includes relaxing visa policies, improved service quality and stricter safety regulations. CBRE have experienced a strong wave of interest from developers and their hotels division will be able to provide solutions for hospitality businesses. Also, they intend to target the growing number of investors who will be drawn in thanks to the government’s new visa waiver and e-visa grant policies.

Robert McIntosh, executive director of CBRE Hotels, Asia Pacific commented, “We are now entering another exciting year for the hospitality market. The launch of the CBRE Hotels team in Vietnam continues to further bolster the company’s already strong position in the market. CBRE Vietnam will focus on growing momentum in the hotel market and collaborate with our vast network of offices to offer our clients the opportunity to target key development sites within the region in the upcoming time. This will position CBRE to deliver best-in-class advice and execution for future growth in the Vietnam hotel market, as well as expand our reach to better serve our clients.”
